The Agricultural University of Athens Coordinates the “ROMVOS” Technology Transfer Cooperation Network

01.04.2026

The new project will run for four years and aims to accelerate the transformation of academic research into innovative solutions with measurable social and economic impact. This will be achieved through the protection of intellectual property, collaboration agreements with industry and the establishment of university spin-off companies.

At the heart of the “Romvos” Network lies the synergy between four distinct academic ecosystems, each specialising in different yet complementary fields, as highlighted by the Rectors during the press conference held on 24 October at the Ceremonial Hall of the Agricultural University of Athens.

More specifically, the partnership aims to develop an interdisciplinary network covering a broad range of research fields, from agriculture, agri-food and engineering to the social sciences, economics and the humanities. Its ultimate objective is to strengthen cooperation among the participating academic institutions, combine their respective areas of expertise and promote the joint exploitation of research results.

The Agricultural University of Athens has secured funding of more than one million euros to support its research community in the exploitation of innovative research results with significant economic and social impact.
